In the 'live' version of Premium soccer coaching, these drills are grouped according to the skill or technique they are designed to encourage.

For example, there are 20 games specially chosen for for 'early learners', 24 drills and games that encourage first touch and control, 13 that help teach shooting skills and so on.

  1 – Criss-Cross

· Simple unopposed passing practice suitable for all ages, for up to 12 players working in a small grid

2 - Diamond Drill

· Versatile set-up for groups of four to practice short passsing. Can be easily adapted for other skills

3 - Zig-Zag

· Circular formation, short passing. Requires concentration and communication

4 - Empty Corner

· Pass and move in groups of 3 working in small grid

5 - Figure of Eight

· Miniumum of five per group, short passing with emphasis on good first touch and open body shape

6 - Square Dance

· Pass and move in squads of 4, complex drill that will challenge experienced players.

7 - Pass n Move

· Circular set-up, short passing with quick movement, good touch and communication

8 - One Touch

· Working in groups of 3, one player works under pressure at a time. Adapt for various skills

9 - Two Steps Forward

· Very useful and simple practice, circular set-up, pass the way you are facing

10 - Up, Back and Through

· Square grid, versatile in numbers, fast moving one and two touch passing

11 - Lay-Off

· Circular group work. 2 players move to support each other. Challenging practice

12 - Big Touch

· In pairs, players practice moving the ball into space on first touch

13 - Back Foot

· Useful grid practice on getting open on 1st touch

14 - Man On

· Large grid set-up. Observation and first touch are the themes

15 - Let it Run

· Rotational practice on a useful skill to create space under pressure

16 - Next

· Simple and versatile warm-up or cool-down to practice touch and control

17 - Long Ball

· Nothing clever just a simple rotational plan for repetitive practice of long and lofted passes

18 - Hi Ball

· Groups of four practice lofted passes and controlling the high ball

19 - Invasion

· Simple and competitive practice to improve possession. Verstile for any number of players

20 - Escalator

· Possession game, gradually increase the pressure to match the players level of skill

21 - My Space

· Movement to create and exploit space - a challenging practice

22 - Triangles

· Get out the defender's shadow! Gradually increase the challenge of this practice

23 - The Square

· Great low pressure practice to work on possession. Encourages good vision and decision making

24 - 4 x 4

· Useful possession game, 2v2 with target players. Encourages good movement and quick play

25 - Nominate

· Circular set-up, encourages players to get their heads up and make deliberate choices on pass

26 - Vision

· Progress this from easy to very challenging. Players must play with their heads up

27 - Five v Three

· Possession game with direction. Use it to coach pass selection and angles of support

28 - Three Teams

· Numbers-up possession game, easy to set up and lots of options for progression

29 - End to End

· Team possession game that includes a strong element of endurance. Good pre-season practice

30 - Mixed Passing

· Helps players make good decisions on when to play the safe pass or go for the long ball

31 - Quarters

· Team game to help players select the right moment for the accurate long pass

32 - Beckham

· Similar to "Quarters" but requires players to time their runs to meet the long pass in the channels

33 - Quads

· Simple adaptation of the normal game that forces players to switch the ball to find and exploit space

34 - Knockdown

· Great fun game for all ages. Can be used as intense fitness session for older squads

35 - Relay

· Simple set-up to practice running with the ball in competitive but unopposed drill

36 - Half Way

· Small sided game with simple adaptation to increase intensity. Useful pre-season game

37 - Forfeit

· Good fun and competitive shooting practice that rewards accuracy and pace

38 - Shooting Gallery

· Practical set-up to help a group all work on shooting without queuing up

9 - Snap Shot

· 1 v 1 with a goalkeeper, encourage players to take their shot without delay

40 - Finish First

· 1 v 1 foot race to finish with a shot, practice finishing at speed under pressure from defender

41 - Shoot on Sight

· Fast paced practice that allows players to shoot in any one of three goals, don't hesitate

42 - Two v Two v Two

· An adaptation of drill 41 that includes more defending and decision making

43 - Open Goal

· Small sided game with no keepers. Shoot without hesitation and close down quickly

44 - Have a Go

· Popular small sided game that rewards all efforts to shoot on target

45 - Last Man

· Rotational drill to practice finishing 1v1 with pressure from recovering defender

46 - Hat Trick

· Good fun practice that challenges players to finish with shot, volley and header all on the same run

47 - Double Dutch

· Rotational combination drill to practice long and short passing, control and finishing

48 - Slow in - Fast out

· A large group can practice all the basic turns in this simple set-up

49 - Tractor Trailer

· Simple and effective activity to practice dribbling and turning playing with the head up

50 - Tractor versus Trailer

· Development of drill 49 that makes it competitive, how long can we keep the ball 1v1

51 - Bill's Gates

· Very intense exercise that challenges players 1v1 to dribble and turn and attack space

52 - Ten

· Develop this warm-up with a squad over a period of time to improve numerous basic skills

53 - Take a Turn

· To improve ability to create individual space with technically good turns in 1v1

54 - Spare Man

· Very intense practice where players go 1 v 1 to receive the ball, turn and find the next pass

55 - Go Then Show

· To improve the ability to create individual space when closely marked, first touch under pressure

56 - Diagonals

· Useful to work on dribbling moves with a larger group in small area, unopposed practice

57 - 3 - 2 - 1

· Low pressure dribbling game that will reward players who play with their heads up and attack space

58 - The Numbers Game

· Versatile team game that encourages 1 v 1 attacking and finishing, adapt it to focus on various skills

59 - 1st Defender

· Repetitive practice of basic defending skills in rotational set-up

60 - No Turn

· To improve successful marking of an opponent who has his back to goal

61 - Defensive Triangle

· Rotational game with keepers to help supporting defenders improve their positioning

62 - Delay

· Help defenders to learn to not dive in, also useful for attacking combinations

63 - Man Marking

· Small sided game that helps players to concentrate on defensive duties

64 - Spare Cone

· Who's got good concentration? Shows up football intelligence. No footballs involved

65 - Off The Wall

· Working in grids of 3 to practice this simple and effective passing combination

66 - Overlaps

· Relay type set-up to improve timing of overlap and blind-side runs

67 - Channels

· Small sided game that encourages overlap runs and finishing from a cross

68 - Takeover

· Circular set-up to improve the quality of a simple take-over manoeuvre

69 - Winner Stays On

· Simple rotational 2v2 set-up to work on attacking combinations

70 - End Zone

· Small sided game that emphasises possession with direction, rewards quick play

71 - Combinations

· Challenging rotational drill that puts together passing combinations and finishing

72 - Blockade

· Simple conditioned small sided game that sets different challenges for each team
